Kim McCann-Lawson Memorial Scholarship

Our dear theatre colleague, Kim McCann-Lawson, passed on Sept. 15, 2023. Please join us for a celebration of life on Jan. 7, 2024 at 5:00 pm in the main auditorium on the Sacramento City College campus. Feel free to bring a snack to share, finger food is preferred. Drinks are welcome, and all must be non-alcoholic.

In memory of Kim, and honor of her involvement in the Theatre Department at SCC and her impact on so many of our students, we’re creating a scholarship in her memory. The “Kim McCann-Lawson Memorial Scholarship” will support SCC Theatre majors with financial need. We’re so glad her memory will live on through the students who will receive the scholarship in her name.  The minimum scholarship award at SCC is $500, which is what we will need to raise to be able to award a scholarship in her honor.

Please join us in contributing to this scholarship fund so we can reach this goal.
