Auditions for Eurydice
“Eurydice” reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus and Eurydice not through Orpheus’s infamous pilgrimage to retrieve his bridge, but through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. Auditions for Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl and directed by Christine Nicholson will be held during the first week of school, on Wednesday, Aug. 23 & Thursday, Aug. 24 at 7:00 pm in the Art Court Theatre. A second date will be added
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. You can see a preview of the script on Sarah Ruhl’s website. Please bring a current headshot and resume along with any conflicts you may have for the rehearsal and performance period.
Rehearsals: Aug. 24 – Sept. 28, 2023, evenings 6:30 – 10:30 pm, Sat. afternoons
Performances: Sept. 29 – Oct. 15, 2023 – Thu/Fri/Sat @ 7:30 pm and Sun @ 2 pm.

I used to be a student, but I am pursuing a career in the industry and wanted to add some experience to my resume and practice my craft! I work at B street theatre as a custodian, so I will have to at least have weekends likely to do the job. I’ll see if I can work my job around rehearsal if I land a part!
